The salad is super-wholesome, all that raw goodness! But if I had to choose I’d go with the silken tofu dish, it looks and sounds so very spectacular.

I love it when vegan eats are found at omni restos, which is probably why I have never heard of Hawker Bar! Banh Mi Boys is also an omni resto with great vegan options… and there’s a bibimbap resto on Eglinton W that is next on my hit-list.. an omni resto but vegan and brown rice options! 🙂

Glad to hear Toronto’s veg scene is living up to its hype for you. 🙂

    I giggled at ‘mctipsypants’.

sounds great – love when I can find veg laksa and I would love to taste those chickpea chips – look amazing – I have had them once but still need to try making them myself

and I bet you now wish you lived opposite so you could just flick your light at Live light boy – just to feel like anne shirley 🙂

That tofu looks AMAZING…. and of course, why wouldn’t it when it came from an Aussie?!

I think I could get through dangerous quantities of those chickpea fries. And I agree – that tofu dish of yours looks incredible. Good menu choices, my dear 🙂

Amazing. I really miss food like this! In Italy food can be wonderful but is often overcooked, not much interesting raw food going on. Now I’m starving and it’s porridge o’clock!

That tofu looks…sexy! Have those words ever been uttered? But it looks scrumptious at least! Did you try the laksa? I’m curious to see how it stacked up to non vegan laksa 🙂

You had me at chickpea fries, this place is on list 🙂

I’m seriously intrigued by Hawker Bar, I’ve never heard of it or it’s awesome vegan options 🙂

Love Live- if you feel better next time try their desserts, they are delicious!

Great to find an Aussie chef! I love the look of all this food and I would have loved to have tried the fried chickpea ‘fish fingers’ xx

Yet another couple places for me to get excited about for when I’m in Toronto! I absolutely love the presentation of the Big Bowl Salad – salads definitely need to look beautiful to be awesome! I love that you were served a mammoth amount of tofu, ha ha!

I am so glad I’m reading this right before dinner. I am totally hungry right now. And I’m incredibly intrigued by the raw hummus. I think I need to make some!

I’ve been to Live 4 times and enjoyed it so much. Have eaten both outside and inside – I hope you’ll go back when you can enjoy the patio. Love their martinis!!! I’ve had the big salad too and enjoyed it. The nachos are super delish too!

Represent. I love a big salad. Seinfeld reference, do you get it? I’m not sure if we’ve discussed my love of Seinfeld & whether your reciprocate… & that tofu looks so so yummy.

Love the look of that tofu dish … they have patio dining in Toronto? Just joking.

Hawker Bar looks fabulous! And I don’t need to eat vegan, although I did accidentally make a vegan dinner last night. The chickpea chips looks great. I’m not sure that I understand raw hummus- you can’t actually eat raw chickpeas- can you?
