awww, love the pics – almost feels like I was there, too! : )

Okay, I have only been reading your blog for a short while now, but this is my favorite post so far. It could be the double dose of hydrocodone I am on right now, but I’m laughing so hard.

Haven’t been to the zoo in forever, great tour! Love the defecating panda.

Gave you a shout out on my blog today.

This is a combination of “aw, how cute” and snorting coffee out my nose laughing.

On a side note, an Aussie friend of ours (who backpacks through every few years or so) spent December with us and made us all Pavlova. OMG, we’d never had anything like it! So amazing!!!

I’m not sure the schnitzel is a fair trade for Pavlova. But then, having married into a German family, I may just feel a little overexposed to traditional German fare. 😉

This reminds me of the time when I fell victim to the myth of “drop bears”
They had me going for about a half hour.
    *Bear hug!*

I want to be a koala when I grow up.

It is extraordinary HOW MUCH otters stink, isn’t it? Who would think something that looked so cute could stink quite that much? I’ve been to the National Zoo and Aquarium but appreciate your insightful guide.

** that SO clearly IS a euphemism
You didn’t swap his schnitzel for your fruity balls?
(grow up…? Nah, maturity is over-rated) xx

  9. Kate (What Kate is Cooking)

I love both of the songs you referenced 🙂

  10. Lisa (bakebikeblog)

hahah what a wonderful zoo-venture tour indeed 🙂

Germans returning to Germany all-to-soon? Not all of them! This doesn’t apply to me (I’m still in Germany), but to my (former, probably) thesis supervisor who went to New Zealand on a scholarship and has just extended his stay for another year.

However, I LOVE to go to the zoo! I haven’t gone for too long for sure. I especially love the reptiles! But all the other animals too.

“Not a euphamism” – I had to wonder! Love it.

I’ve been thinking a trip to the zoo is something I should do – do you think a virtual trip will do the trick?

Thanks for the giraffe – do you know that they don’t really speak although apparently when really pushed they might moo but it is very very rare!

Love the koala pic – looks so alert – I only ever get pics of them sleeping

  14. Heidi - Apples Under My Bed

hahaha oh Hannah, thanks for the giggles. Loved the bear notes the best 🙂

Haha I squealed when I read the title of today’s post! I do love a WayChoc tour (did you notice how I’ve abbreviated you cos I think people should know what that means). And you’re so right about otters, they are the cutest creatures ever but so stinky! Have you seen this? So cute!

All these bear photos remind me of the Colbert Report, and the way he has bears On Notice every week. Did you get to see that show when you were travelling in the US? Or, I think it is on one of the digital television channels, but I’m not certain as we don’t get those!

AWESOME…. Super cool post lovely, I dig the Zoo, but where are the monkeys?
Teehehehe re the snitty, the German cooks a mean feed there. Like the addition of the cheese too.

Who needs David Attenborough when you have Hannah … Love these posts.

  19. Ellie@fitforthesoul

Omgsh! haha, I didn’t realize you were ‘allegorizing’ from goldilocks. As I was reading the soup part, I was thinking “no wayyyyy I didn’t know bears ate soup!” 0_o uhhhh lol. Koalas! One of my faves! awwww so adorable, and those Tamarins are a first for me. They look so funky and cool. I dig them!

  20. Libby

Nawww, so cute! But no red pandas? Me so sad 🙁

  21. Monique

Ha, I was about to say that’s what she said… until you posted your not a euphemism disclaimer, boo!! 🙂 And holy cuteness overload 🙂

I love animals. And I love German food. That sounds like a winning day right there!

  22. Simply Life

    thanks for the fun tour!

  23. Rach

Ahh! Such a cute post! Really so clever all throughout. You made this a fun one to read! 🙂

  24. Susan

Oh that bear is so cute! Our dog always reminds me of a big bear! I haven’t been to the canberra zoo yet.

  25. Conor @ HoldtheBeef

What about Laaaaaaambert, the sheepish lion? Did you see him? Did ya? Did ya?

I am amazed my Lambert record survived the amount of playing it endured with me skipping around the lounge room to it and singing along. I hope I still have it somewhere. Must ask my parents when next we converse!
