These look like the sort of brownies I love. More on the cake-y side. Perfect pairing with ice cream. 😉

Why you always mixin grams and cups? Pick a continent and go with it.

I know why I like it … It’s easy to measure cups of dry ingredients but much easier to weigh butter/margarine. The brownies look just like they should Hannah. I used to mix rye flour with pure cornflour rather than do plain rye.

How lovely to be able to see people from back home! And I like the fact that you have both types of measurements because I’m sure you have readers that use metric and imperial.

It must have been wonderful for your friends to be there. There’s just something about being around people who talk like you do that lifts the spirits.

I’m glad you made these brownies – guaranteed to keep you in a good mood.

I’m very glad you didn’t contemplate online time when offline life was providing such dizzying joy. I’m less glad the visit had to end, but thank goodness you had the week…and these brownies certainly look like the way to cope with its conclusion.

I am surprised to hear you have a favourite regular brownie recipe, baked chocolate goods and you not being things I strongly associated, but I’m glad you keep surprising me in such ways too (bread! pizza! now non-raw brownies!) 😉

lol I never sift anything either. These look like the perfect ply for heart handiwork 🙂

these sound like old friends – recipes you make over and over have so many wonderful memories and so much comfort – will have to try them just because they must be lovely if you have stayed so loyal to them and because sometimes brownies don’t need to taste like melted chocolate. Your visit from home sounds like fun – am sure you will find other things to cheer yourself up, even if only the thought that winter is almost over 🙂

Yeah I like using cocoa powder in baking, so thumbs up for these brownies. Mainly because I can’t be bothered chopping up and melting chocolate. Like, who has time for that? 😉

I would expect nothing less than for you to cover these in peanut butter. In fact, I would expect nothing less of everyone. These sound like just the soul-comforting dessert I need right now <3

Ooh, these look delicious – not too rich but with the right density for a brownie! Yum!

I’m so glad you made the most of every minute your good friends were with you. Of course they must come before every other activity! And after they had to leave you, of course you must eat brownies! These look super-moist and rich and full of cheer-me-up goodness xx
