So a ‘Friand’ is just a fancy name for a ‘Muffin’?

Did you save the delicious caramelised edges for last? I always do :)

Huzzah for the wonderful time you are having in your new home! Huzzah, also, for the new Allergy section of your recipes. But please – for my sake and that of every person allergic to nuts who’s ever held a menu telling them what’s gluten free or vegan or [insert other food requirement here], but NOT disclosing actual, death-causing nuts… Almond meal = nut = potential allergen. :)

I love to watch the snow fall – it’s so calming. I don’t even mind driving in it but when it gets to be a blizzard and the snow is falling horizontally, I give up.

I’d pull over and want to eat one of these lovely friands.

What gorgeous looking friands – I prefer them so much to cupcakes. I’m glad you had a productive day – amazing what you can accomplish despite being snowed-in xx

swirling snow sounds so romantic and it does leave you with more reason to move about than on a 40 degree C day (which we are promised on Thursday) – and so much better for baking and roasting – sounds yummy

I’m sad to leave Canada today! It’s such a great country! Although I haven’t actually woken up to a snowstorm…

To me, your day sounds perfect – utterly beautifully perfect. But this is said by someone who has never shoveled snow in her life and may well prove to be unable to live at -26′C windchill temperatures. So, I shall say instead that turning a challenging weather day into a day filled with delight is perfect, and these friands clearly deserved getting out of bed for :)

I LOVE THE SNOW I LOVE THE SNOW I LOVE THE SNOW!! If it had been heavy nasty dense snow, I may have had other thoughts, given the rate that it came down at. BUT, it was light pillowy goodness! So lovely.

I am so tempted to click on “What is Free Testosterone” ad at the top of the page. They sure have your readers pegged;)

I have made versions of these – as you know – as mini-friands. I find a big friand a little rich but love love love the little ones. Thanks for posting – and what a lovely dinner you had!

I admire how productive you were able to be amidst a snowstorm! And what a delicious outcome. x
