Sounds like fun – though not only am I imagining you with octopus arms gesticulating wildly as you type but I even thought maybe these octopus arms were gesticulating wildly with happiness as you rode your bike and took photos at an awkward angle. I too need to ride a bike more – esp when winter brings gorgeous sunny days like today!

    Sounds like a fun day!

“Before I die I want to sleep with Marc Jacobs” ahaha, what!

I feel the same way about biking. It’s like you’re living life more fully when air is rushing past your ears, and sun is shining down on your back, and the pavement or whatnot is flying past underfoot. I bet NY by bike is lovely.

You seem so high-energy and full of life, Heidi was probably just experimenting to see if it was possible to tire you out.

OMG. Alex Mack AND Pacey Whitter? 15 year old me is DYING.

    Sounds like an awesome day!

Awww I missed riding while we were in the US, but I love the Citibank bikes they have for hire all over town – I just wasn’t really game to ride one without a helmet, but perhaps that says more about my cycling abilities. lol.

Looks like a lovely, lovely day. Makes me want to hop on a bike 🙂

Thank you for the tour of New York. My Alfie has a book, ‘A Walk in New York’ and it’s beautifully illustrated and the Flatiron Building is featured. What a great building! All that cycling through New York must have been exhilarating. xx

Oh Hannah. All that Canberra doubt and worry? Thank goodness it didn’t hold you back.

I do think bikes are underrated as a holiday / sight seeing activity. I’ve only done it once (in our trip last year in Portugal) but doing so was my Portugal highlight. New York City would be even more amazing, even before you threw in Heidi and American donut concoctions and various stars 🙂

Everything in this post sounds so wonderful!

I haven’t ridden a bike in YEARS and despite my boyfriend’s attempts to convince me to hire one in the Melbourne CBD, I haven’t quite mustered up the courage. ‘Too many road morons’, I keep telling him. 🙁

Oh Hannah dear!! What a crazy beautiful post. I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful this day was for me also. Riding bikes…I should do that more too, it feeds my soul like nothing else. The sun and the wind and the fact that we were in NYC helped too 😉 Oh, wasn’t it all just perfect? Like a dream. Miss you so much lady. & excuse me but you look SO fly in those sunnies. One day you’ll splurge & treat yo self. Because honey, you looked so fine in them. Your attitude meter went up by 100 points. & that’s a lot.

Sounds like a glorious day. Power to the bicycle! 🙂 even I don’t attempt photography or even drinking water while riding. You are awesome. 🙂

Lovely report of a special sounding day, Hannah. Heidi sounds special … like pretty much all your friends.

Haha, there are certainly some interesting things on that chalkboard! Oh, and yes, I, too, need to ride bikes more often. It feels so freeing.

What a fun day! Although I must say that the bike riding would not be for me. I get why people love it but I tried on our recent holiday and freaked out and crashed into the bushes!

Aww, this post makes me so happy! I so did not see any celebrities in the states, boo 🙁 What a lovely day it looked like though…! 🙂

When I was in NY, I was reading through a travel guide and accidentially read out “Flat-i-tron” when referring to the Flatiron building. Since then, I continue to refer to it as the Flatitron because I think it sounds cooler. Also, now I want a bike.
