I think you’re the one who throws curveballs at life! In the past year you have achieved so much. You are one brave girl and I really admire the way you live your life.

I’m bouncing around with excitement because I have a Melbourne holiday coming up in a week. I’ve packed some Lindt 85% cocoa in my suitcase in case of emergencies and thought of you. 😉

Let the party slumbering commence! Mmm, nice sort-of-brûlée, sounds like the perfect way to pump it up for your travels. PUMP IT UP!

I hope these are in your suitcase on the way to ATL.

Genius idea to use brown sugar for a bruléed flavor. Make me these???

This was such a fun post! Good for you taking your curveballs in stride. The computer search function may have won this round, but next time, I’m betting on you! 🙂

All you need to do is take a blow-torch to the sugar and you shall have your brulee. Watch your eyebrows.

  9. Libby

    These look delicious!

Who needs sleep?! Ugh, ME :/

  10. Lorraine @ Not Quite Nigella

When you put in the words chocolate, peanut butter and brulee into a recipe title, you know you’re going to start something absolutely delicious!

Recipes like these are the best really. Sometimes I have the ingredients written down properly, but really just want to write “Throw these things in a food processor and adjust to taste. Have fun.”. Thanks for doing it for me 🙂 Life is better with some uncertainty and curve ball moments, in and out of the kitchen xo

One batch to go please? Haha great recipe 😀

Okay this one is for us too. But why oh why has my food processor gone bung!

    Enjoy the ride! X

Well, this looks like a great recipe to me. Embrace the curve ball I’d say xx

Looks fantastic, the brown sugar on top is a nice touch indeed! Did you mention what the curveball was or did I miss it somewhere?

Oh wow! I have to be totally honest and say I’m not someone who usually likes raw desserts, but your bars look totally amazing and delicious! Dates! Salted peanuts! Cocoa! Vanilla! WOW!

    So very Nigella of you.

Technology is great when it works in out favour, but I find it tends not to. Good for you for keeping your chin up 🙂

YUM. I have no other words!

  19. Heathy

YUM! I need a pan of these! Good thing your memory works when the computer doesnt! 😀

  20. msihua (@msihua)

Your computer has hidden your recipe from you in hopes that you wouldn’t share this goodness with the world. You failed your computer. I on the other hand am happy 🙂

I’m not surprised you couldn’t find the recipe. Dates? Peanut butter? Cocoa? You’ve probably used those words a zillion billion times. :p

  22. hungryandfrozen

Genius move, as ever, m’lady. You could always bust out a blowtorch and briefly melt the sugar…although then maybe everything would melt…which would probably still be delicious.

Hooray for curveballs that you manage to curve round happily with! If that makes sense.

  23. Louise

Even though I don’t like pb and chocolate, these bars do look fabulous. I’m constantly amazed at your creativity, and ingenuity. And bars are so totally different to balls.
