Did not know you were on FB… so I liked you. 🙂

I recently deep-conditioned my hair with coconut oil. It left it a bit greasier than I had been hoping for, but it gave me a sweet circa 2001 hairstyle for a day! Aww yeah.

  4. Victoria (District Chocoholic)

Do you not eat coconut oil off a spoon? (and you know I follow you on twitter)

  5. Gill

I have subscribed to the Tropical Traditions newsletter.

Thank you for offering this giveaway.

Coconut oil is very beneficial in a variety of ways.

I am amazed. But do these biscuits not taste a little of suntan cream? Forgive my ignorance. I’ve been wary of coconut oil after bad childhood experiences. But gosh they do look good. I do prefer 35 over 14 (although they eat ten at a time in this abode.)
‘m having a giveaway on my blog too this week!

  7. Kari @ bite-sized thoughts

BLACK-STRAP MOLASSES. (That’s an excited phrase, not a shouting one, in case it’s not clear.)

I can’t wait for the veganised Australian childhood treat, too!

  8. Choc Chip Uru

I honestly think I need to appreciate coconut oil more! 🙂

    Cheers

I have more of a problem with coconut oil than molasses – I still haven’t managed to find a coconut oil that I like – they taste too much like coconut to me in a bad way (because usually I like coconut) so i wish I could just have a little taste of your cookies to see if that is an oil that I like – but then I probably wouldn’t be able to buy the oil in Oz – sigh! I keep thinking I must find one I like one day

  13. Heathy

Oh goodness gracious, you’re on a roll with the coconut! Yum yum!!!! xo

  14. Heidi - Apples Under My Bed

oh, nice, lady!! these look scrumptious mmmm.

I see coconut oil and recipes using coconut oil popping up everywhere. It’s even available now in my local IGA (although the quality between your gift and what I can buy may be poles apart). Your cookies look gorgeous and I do love a cookie that’s crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. I’m now following you on twitter xx

  16. msihua

Cookies look so awesome, but of course they do! You made them <3

They look great Hannah … perfectly shaped cookies. Making only 14 would surely make cookies the shape of a frisbee!

I just signed up for your newsletter because I was referred to your giveaway & was blown away by the information and products available. I’m into organic and healthy products but have only used coconut oil for external (skin/hair) care until now. I can hardly wait to try new recipes and really get cooking! Thanks!

  127. Susan

I noticed that you carry Palm Oil. This is a devastating product that has nearly destroyed the orangutan environment and is decimating the remaining population. I am curious as to why you do so, when you have so many other excellent items that can be/are grown in more sustainable/less damaging ways. Are you considering moving away from Palm Oil? I’ve personally sworn to not use it & prefer to patronize and advertise companies that don’t contribute to this problem.
    Thanks for reading & answering.
