    Your ability to rhyme
With such skill all the time
    About Cadbury blocks
    And better quality chocs
Puts a smile on my face, that’s sublime!

I was trying to think of a sassy rhyme to comment with but I do not have your talent ;)

I hate overly sugary things- I always end up crashing and feeling crummy!

  3. Lou

    Viper would LOVE this ;)

Hehe as someone that can’t rhyme, I’m just going to giggle and applaud your limericking skills :D

Your limerick made me giggle and smile
At the chocolate that made you run a mile
    Its crunchy sweet bits
    Will make me admit
That such chocolate doesn’t sound such a trial

Oh Hannah, you are truly the greatest.
The only thing I could say in this chocolate’s favour is (a) it made you write this fabulous poem, and (b) Croquant is an adorable French word!

    I’m useless at rhyming
    and have terrible timing
but your line: “Sugar-bombed me out of my wits”
    gave me the s***s
because with joy it’d have me climbing!

I am giggling at your post and then the limerick comments…which has gone a long way towards cancelling out the hecticness of my day, so thank you :)

(PS. Pity that the chocolate itself wasn’t too great, but at least it saves me having to re-evaluate my opinion Cadbury’s chocolate quality!)

Did you buy this in Canada? I’ve never seen it here and isn’t Cadbury based here??? xx

I just had my first moment last week where something sweet made my teeth hurt. I’ve always thought people were just really weak or ridiculous or something when they said sweets hurt their teeth. But now you’ve been sugar-bombed! This sounds much more traumatic and large-scale:)

  12. Joanne

Ha! Love this! And will remember to avoid this chocolate bar.

  13. Alayna @ Thyme Bombe

Hahaha! Love it! I think the limerick form suits such a silly chocolate just perfectly.

  14. Heather @ Sweetly Raw

This is why you should eat sweetly raw almond butter cups :D Even though it was on sale, I can’t stand spending money on choccies/food only to be disappointed. Can’t believe all the snow you have!!!! Catching up to us ;)

  15. Hannah

Now that is just raw talent on display. Have you ever considered publishing a chocolate poetry book? Not even kidding here! I would totally help illustrate it with accompanying photos too. <3

  16. Sarah B @ Bake + Bike

Yes, I support limericks about chocolate anytime! The last one is my favourite and very accurately describes the Cadbury choc I’ve tried.

  17. msihua

I can’t believe you attempted a Cadbury.. Eeeww

  18. Louise

I couldn’t believe you tried that either, as I couldn’t see it tempting you- but it certainly made for a great limerick (wish I was clever enough to reply in kind), and I do certainly understand budgetary constraints- they make us sad all the time, think of the fabulous time we could have eating Parisian bonbons all the time, if it weren’t for the stupid budgetary constraints. Humbug.
