  1. Kari @ bite-sized thoughts

I’m so glad I picked this up before heading off for 2 weeks! Wow. What a brilliant conclusion to your earlier dessert descriptions :D The E.T. looks amazing, but then so does everything else.

I also wanted to mention, just in case you haven’t already discovered this exciting piece of information, that Coles have Lindt Excellence blocks at 2 for $4 at the moment (I assume sale offers are Australia wide?). I thought you might be someone who appreciates the benefits of such an offer :)

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm peanut butter macaron. It’s one of the standard flavours I order!

So glad you got time to visit one of my fave places. Don’t worry I’ve done LB and B&P in the same day too!! haha

  3. msihua

:P That’s for you my “fried” friend.. and aren’t you glad we took the B&P’s as rake sways?? You gotta love my spellcheck/ auto-correct on my stupid phone :P

    HUGS!!!

    1. msihua

Oh yeah.. and I want to.. Up where they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun!!!!

  4. Heidi - Apples Under My Bed

holy cow, this all looks ridiculously delicious! I need to go there with a big group and sample everything!! Must try the PB macaron too. Some I’ve tried there were a bit meh for me personally, so must try some more! All the tarts and cakes look divine…

You just broke my heart by telling me the salted caramel wasn’t good. I would have ordered five of them.

OMG I DIDN’T SEE THE ORIENTAL LOVE THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE!

OMG I DIDN’T SEE THE E.T. THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE!

    Must. Return. ASAP.

    *froths*

  7. Alayna @ Thyme Bombe

OOooo! No one could’ve talked me outta that Oriental Love. Pandan is the best! The E.T. looks crazy-good though, so generous of them to bestow it upon you. Kaya is not known about much here in the states and I find that depressing, that stuff is awesome and needs to become a staple.

  8. Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table

I literally just had a Pavlovian response to that last description. OMG.

  9. Johanna GGG

Oh give me the ET dessert – I can by pass the macarons and tarts but fun chocolate desserts must be mine!!!! Oh that’s right I live in Melbourne and you live in Canberra so I should be at luxbite every weekend making you jealous rather than you swanning in down here making me jealous – sigh – well at least I know it is probably for the best that I am not better acquainted with luxbite – it would be a dangerous passion to acquire.

  10. Victoria (District Chocoholic)

I will happily sample anything they send me. Be sure to let them know.

Sad news about the subpar salted caramel macaron. But, well, I guess that sample at the end made up for it.

  11. Cait's Plate

Peanut butter and jelly macarons?!?! Those look amazing. I’m pretty much a sucker for anything pb&j ;)

And holy crap – The E.T.??? I wish I could eat that through the computer screen, that looks seriously decadent and delicious. Thank you for making my day by posting that picture, haha (Amazing pictures as usual I-Hua!)

  12. Akika

LuxBite sure is the talk of the town! I’ve been waiting and waiting to visit but just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’m missing out. That’s it, I will go, this weekend. Chocolate cravings is killing me >_<

  13. Ellie@fitforthesoul

For some odd reason, I’ve never fancied macarons and perhaps it’s b/c they’re too sweet for me?! But the oriental one looks bomb! I know that if you say these are good though, then they must be. I probably just haven’t tried really good ones! ;)

  14. Evan Thomas

Mmmm, I wish we had more gourmet dessert places near us because this looks amazing. I haven’t found a decent macaroon since Paris. PB&J? Sign me up.

  15. Amber Shea @Almost Vegan

You reminded me that I still need to get/try some kaya…other than that, this post has so completely scrambled my mind with its desserty awesomeness that I am at a loss for words.

  16. Fatbooo

This is INSANE!! I would stop at just 1 dessert, well done, how is it you’re so slim? ;)

  17. Junia @ Mis Pensamientos

you don’t like nutbutters? gasp! they are so good. is it the flavor? the texture? all nuts? the pbj macaron just looks delightful to me hahaha. :)

  18. whisperinggums

Oh, this looks stunning. How I wish I were young and food-intolerance-free again!

  19. Lizzi

This is just like some kind of fairytale wonderland!!!!!!!!

… well, the way fairytale wonderlands appear in my mind, at least.

  20. leaf (the indolent cook)

Now I want to try Oriental Love! And I think you must return to Melbourne to try it, too!

  21. Food lover

OMG! Everything looks absolutely, ridiculously tasty! I work not too far from this place and have never been in. It will be my first stop for coffee (and a macaron) on Monday!

  22. miri leigh

You got my attention with the salted caramel! But it all sounds wonderful!

  23. Kath (My Funny Little Life)

Okay, I think I’m lying in sugar coma now after just reading this! :D And I’m pretty sure that I’d be sick after 10 desserts – HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO HAVE DINNER STILL?!?!?!?! 8O 8O 8O

I love the look of these macaroons. They are so artificially colorful! :D

  24. theresa

Holy mother of all that is sweet, this looks like heaven! Peanut butter and Jam macaroon? Love the concept!

  25. Karen

Hannah, this post is the shiz!! You and your friends need to be awarded a medal for pigging out so unapologetically on desserts in the course of one night. I bow in awe. :-)

  26. Errign

Yum. I’ve never had a macaroon. I have however, had Kaya, though instead of on toast, I had in cooked into a prata, and it was a delicious and not-at-all nutritious way to say goodbye to Singapore.

  27. Nic@diningwithastud

I think I tuned out after peanut butter and jelly macaron *drooooooool* it all seems a blur

  28. Anna Johnston

GAWD…. You are like AMAZING. Your dedication to the sweet treats is incrediable. Im impressed bestie. How is it that you could keep eating so much sweet stuff? You are the SHIZ always! :)

  29. Camille

Pineapple and passionfruit are the flavors I chose for my wedding cake! Hence, I love the sound of that tart. And the popcorn, well, I’m drooling and suddenly my reheated Indian food lunch just doesn’t have the same appeal it did ten minutes ago.

  30. Louise

Hmmm, another Melbourne establishment that I have no prior knowledge of. I’m starting to doubt my Melbourne cred. But then I have rarely ventured out of the city over the past 5 years or so, anything could have happened out there in those burbs! Something else for me to try if I get there this year.
