How lovely to see my name in PRINT! ahahaha only a large, flashing neon sign could make me happier 🙂

Glad you enjoyed it, and THANK YOU!!!! for identifying “brine” as the taste… I could not for the life of me pinpoint it, but you hit the nail on the head. RESPECT, HOMEGIRL, RESPECT.

Oooh – I am really intrigued by this bar!I will have to keep an eye out for it!

  3. Laura @ Hungry and Frozen

What a great review! I love the artistic wrapping paper on this chocolate bar. Those salty crystals are so pretty 🙂 and you’re right, pistachio can be hit-and-miss but here it looks like it definitely shines.

I just hope the ingredients didn’t hang upside down on the monkey bars so their skirt fell down and revealed their knickers!

And was very sad to see Claire leave Masterchef – I have promised E that if Callum wins I will throw bricks at the tv

  5. Simply Life

oh i love what pistachio adds to chocolate!

Hannah, I think I’ve solved the puzzle of the almondy pistachio! I always grislte when I buy something pistachio flavoured and it tastes like almond as I don’t actually really like almond flavour. At Baroque patisserie they showed me two pistachio pastes. One that had a % of almond in it and smelt like almonds. The other one was pure pistachio and was divine and also four times the price. So I think people use the cheaper version to save on money 🙁

oh man – that looks delicious. I love pistachios!! Where did you get it from?

  8. Louise

YAY. I have one of these in the mail to me as we speak. Woo hoo. I’m looking forward to it even more now. I still want that Vestri….

“Sparkling crystals of sea salt” is right — man, that’s a good-lookin’ bar of chocolate. And it makes me hongry.

But now fall approaches, and I have to ask myself: “I could buy these dozens of bars of chocolate, OR I could save for an intern wardrobe that screams ‘Hire me! I’m a professional!'” Adult choices, I hate ’em.

Another delectable-looking bar! I do so love salt…and nuts ;]

Please tell me there is no milk in this chocolate, and that I can has some when I come down to Canberra?

im a little hesitant to try sea salt chocolate. i trust that its good its just an unusual combo in my mind. but when i think of salted peanuts covered in chocolate it makes my mouth water, so pistachios with chocolate and sea salt… hmm that would be FANTASTIC!

Love the cover design, bet I would love the chocolate too but seems as though Smurf Kitchen now gets to experience all the little taste samples rather that old WG!

I’ve just tasted their salted caramels (review coming soon) and bought their six block selection and I can’t wait to try them!

L-Izzle: I’ll work on the flashing sign. And golly, I do love it when people agree with my tasting notes. It’s such a relief 🙂

Lisa: You definitely should! The website lists stockists, but it’s always worthwhile popping by the markets to chat with Heidi too 🙂

Laura: Thank you! And I was mesmerised by the crystals when choosing photos. So pretty (except the photos are never as clear when I upload them. Why is that?!)

Johanna: Oh, why the Callum hatred? He has such a gorgeous smile!

    Simply Life: Aren’t they great?

Lorraine: You’ve reminded me of when I spent an hour chatting to a chocolate store owner in DC, and she spent ten minutes trying to track down a stockist of “the most amazing pistachio paste she’d ever tasted” for me. We eventually found a small jar (seriously, like 150g) beind sold online for $US25 plus shipping. Eeeeeek! So I think you’re right, sadly 🙁

Chelsey: Right here in Canberra, Australia, so I guess you’ll have to come visit!

Louise: I hope you like it!!

Lauren: I know, it’s awful. I haven’t actually bought much chocolate at all since returning – thank god for my stash! However, having to buy whatever is on sale at the supermarket has helped me diversify my brand choices….

    Amber: Don’t I know it! 😉

Theresa: You can haz lots!! You can rest assured that if I tag something vegan, I’ve checked 🙂

Kelsey: Have you really not tried salt and chocolate?! Get thee to Lindt’s Sea Salt chocolate immediately! It’s a good, not-too-intense entry level salt chocolate 🙂

Whisperinggums: I’ll check if I have any of this left. I might have one or two squares I could part with, but I can’t make any promises 😛

Kath: Those truffles have been her top sellers recently, so they must be good! And that must have been a quick delivery – fantastic!

something about salt and sweet that is just so perfect! Loving the look of the amount of pistachios!

  17. penny aka jeroxie

This is a great looking chocolate. I am seriously liking salt with chocolate. It brings out the chocolate very well.

  18. croquecamille

Firstly, THANK YOU for spelling “bated breath” correctly. Secondly, that chocolate looks ideal. Your posts (well the ones about good chocolates, anyway) make me want to head into the kitchen and make my own chocolate bars. Why I haven’t yet is a mystery.

  19. theresa

Oh, pfft, I didn’t even notice your tag!

  20. Hannah

Iron Chef Shellie: Yep, the pisatchios certainly aren’t few and far between. Hurrah!

Penny: It’s like magic with chocolate, isn’t it? 😀

Camille: You’re more than welcome 🙂 But I must ask… how on earth do people spell it incorrectly? I feel a bit the same about making chocolate, but then the whole tempering thing gives me the willies.

Theresa: And now you know where to look in future, so everybody wins! 🙂

  21. croquecamille

I’ve seen “baited breath” more times than I can count.

  22. Hannah

Camille: *shudder* Lately I’ve been seeing “bare with me” on blogs all the time. It hurts me. I want to write “No, I will NOT remove my clothes with you” in response.
