What a fun post. I want to travel more. :( I hate being broke. I’ve started saving money for a trip to Europe in 5 years.

Thanks for bringing the world to me!

I think that thing might be a chinchilla??? No clue :)

It’s been a really long time since I’ve been to Paris, the Louvre or an art museum! Awesome post!!

That poor lion. Hopefully he figured then he could just live a life of sin and enjoy what he had left!

Ha! Lions, pride, I get it. Though I will admit it took me a second — I was thinking, surely lions aren’t guilty of murder, as they are carnivores… maybe gluttony, they do eat a lot in one go… thank goodness for your clarification, otherwise I would still be pondering which sins the lion is guilty of.

Hannah you could very easily have a career leading tours in art galleries: I’d rather hear your amusing interpretation on the works than the poncey tosh you see in guidebooks!

I particularly enjoy how your first commentary is less on the piece of art itself, but on your own artistic skills as a photographer. :)

I also liked the lion pun. Touché.

oooh this brought back so many memories!

Hehe you know how you can get guided tours through Art Galleries? Could you please do one? :P

TheHungryScholar: I know how you feel! I always want to travel more… once my travel photos run out I think it’s really going to hit me that I don’t have any concrete travels plans for the future…

Mmoyal85: Thank you! Isn’t Paris a wonderful mecca of wonderment? *sighs with missingness* And a chinchilla? You might be right! Odd…

Fiona: That’s his best option at this point, I think! :D

Theresa: Teehee, I was a bit unsure as to whether that part would come across as supremely geeky… and hey, maybe it does, but at least someone enjoyed it! :D

Kath: I couldn’t have hoped for a nicer compliment on a night when too-much-chocolate has equalled a sugar-crash leading to a bit of despondency! I might just have to start writing “The Art Guidebook You Actually Want to Read” – bestseller material, for sure! ;)

Camille: Quiet, you. What are you trying to do, deflate my ego?! :P Oh, wait, you just helped it grow again. Hurrah!

Lisa: Fantastic memories, I hope! (Is there any other kind, when it comes to Paris?)

Lorraine: I wonder what the National Gallery of Australia would say if I printed out copies of my Art Tours post and offered myself as a voice for their audio headsets? :D

Simply Life: You and me both!

All I can do is worry about the poor lion…

  12. Hannah

Whisperinggums: That’s the mane concern, isn’t it? (oh, CHORTLE.)

    1. whisperinggums

      Slap on hand for that!

      1. Louise

Indeed. I can see where she gets it from.

BTW Hannah I think the unidentified mammal is a monkey.

  13. Agnes

Hey! Where’s the chocolate?! I feel gypped.

Nah – only kidding, St Ends. That lion is totally cracking me up. Although are you sure it’s a lion? I’m pretty sure it’s Chewbacca.

  14. Hannah

Agnes: The next post up, Be Fri! You know I’d never leave you without chocolate for long. Plus, it’s finally something we can get in Australia. Win!

P.S. I completely just goggled “Chewbacca quotes” to make a joke about your comment… I should’ve known that was a futile endeavour.

  15. Amber Shea @Almost Vegan

Yay, was hoping for another one of these posts! Haha, the lion and Jesus comments are my favorite :]

  16. Hannah

Amber: Aww, it made my day that you said that! :D

  17. Conor @ HoldtheBeef

Oh David Tennant. Sigh. I looked just like Mr Lion when I realised he was being replaced.

  18. Hannah

Conor: I’m fairly certain the plan is for the 12th Doctor to be Justin Bieber, and his companion Taylor Momsen. And then I will sob.
