Happiness is a hotel room with a tv, microwave, fridge, cupboard, and ensuite.
Loved the elegant Christmas decorations, and the weeping willow-esque appearance of the live oaks covered in Spanish moss.
Demon dog, save yourselves! (I missed out on Savannah's famous ghost tours, so had to make my own fun.)
The Savannah River, and the bridge to South Carolina.
And so they were. Well, the people in the store next door were, and I assume these folks were too...

The willow-y tree is a live oak draped in Spanish moss. 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed Savannah and hope you found some of the lesser well known spots to explore.
Thank you Kristen! I actually did some frantic google-searching to try and find out what they were, as I was pretty sure it would be a moss/tree combination. Wonderful to have someone pop out of the woodwork (no pun intended!) to fill me in – and a fellow book-lover too!
I very much enjoyed Savannah – gorgeous place, and on the whole incredibly kind and welcoming people. I stayed primarily in the historic district, so perhaps was in the more “well-known” areas?
